Studio ArtStudio Art is a 40-week, one credit course designed to fulfill the NYS Regents requirement. During this course you will create works of art using a variety of materials, mediums and art history.

GradingQUIZZES/TESTS, SKETCHBOOKS – 20%
You will recieve homework/Sketchbooks semi-weekly, and quizzes or tests every 5-10 weeks. PROJECTS – 40% All work will be graded objectively. It will not be graded on your skill level or artistic talent. Grades are based on how fully you satisfied the expectations of the project, your level of effort, your creative solution, and your use of time provided. Each project will have a rubric for grading and reflection and a specific set of tasks and directions. After your work has been evaluated you will have an opportunity to improve it and resubmit it for a new grade. WEEKLY PROCESS + PARTICIPATION – 40% These grades are given each week. These are determined based upon behavior, effort, participation, completion of clean-up tasks and making use of your time in the art room. Syllabus
